In the midst of another COVID-19 lockdown taking place, the word ‘quiet’ takes on a new meaning. Suddenly faced with a shrinking world defined by walls, windows and doors, quiet becomes those moments of stillness in isolation; when the speckled hum of nothingness slowly permeates through the air. Solace came in the form gazing out the window—trying to catch a glimpse of neighbours, and noticing the quiet persistence of everyday life.
